- still lives with Cody and her grandparents in Orlando
- never reconciled with Dexter after her mother's death; hasn't seen him or Harrison since then despite his attempts to reconnect
- became increasingly bitter and withdrawn around family, and more wild and outlandish with other kids
- heavy partier, drinks and experiments with drugs, minor run-ins with the law (shoplifting, truancy, etc.)
- often runs away from home
